Same - I think my Bosch drill and impact combo kit is 10 years or more old. The batteries still seem to work great. The only thing that broke in these years of homeowner DIY use was the charger - I...

The impact does more than fine detail. It has enough power to drive quite a few 3 inch deck screws when need be but has less RPM and more control than heavier and clunkier tools. It was my go-to...

Don't recall what was in that set, but I like the fact that the batteries work on the entire line of Hart tools. Also, as has been said here, get the combo set posted in post 33? These Bosch are...

I'm with you I think I have some about 14 or more years old and they still do work. What shocked me more is how I can really abuse them, and they just keep going. I have multiple sets and one stayed...

My experience with Bosch batteries are extremely positive as some are very old and have 10.8V on the outer cover which changed to 12V later to compete in the competitive market. Not one 10.8V or 12V...

I have an old drill that I use when I need to, and I also have Ryobi 4V QuickTurn Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/4 in. Hex Screwdriver Kit that I got a couple of months ago. I recently bought the hart 5 tool...

Yeah I ended up using the impact like 95% of the time compared to the drill since I got it and like you mentioned I have grown accustomed to the feel and trigger to not over drive when I'm careful.

You can also get a lot of fine control with just the trigger of the impact driver. The impacts themselves give you some sense of what is going on and much control, when you hear the first impact kick...

I see, basically the drill but hex chuck. I'd buy it in a kit with another impact for $99 if they have such a kit. I find that I can quick release the trigger on the impact if I want to go a little...

Thanks for the response. I'm still hesitant to leave any brand on the charger for extended times. The Ryobi ones that went bad on the charger were from a good while ago, maybe ten or more years. I...

I had one go bad in charger and another off. It may have been the battery batch as I think they came from the same kit (vs other from another kit). I have many Ryobi 18V batteries and haven’t had...

If you're not concerned with size, HD has a great deal on a 18v Ridgid drill + driver that comes with a set of impact bits for $89.

I’ve had some problems with the 12V batteries going bad within a couple years, even if kept charged. I revived one with a 12V auto trickle charger but it loses voltage over a week or two. Won’t be...

No deal here when you can get the impact driver combo for $99 on sale or even for $109 where it is priced now. This half of the combo is alright but limited to only certain tasks and I use it much...
