You're correct about the weights. A, XC 5.0 is 1.8#. A HO 8.0 is 2.33 #. I'm thinking a half # is not noticeable. The real difference is what is in the packs. The 5.0 are 18650 cells, 90Wh, and the...

Not to me at all when using the trimmer actually especially when using the supporting strap. I use the 5ah in my massive yard when the 8ah finally gives up and can detect no difference in weight with...

If the battery is all you need, watch the Home Depot sales and use the hack that is mentioned in almost every Milwaukee thread / post. HD is the only place I know of that will allow the hacks.

Is there a way to get just the battery from this deal for a decent price?

It is a half pound heavier than the 5 Ah, but it is bulkier. Most use these bigger batteries in outdoor power equipment and not the regular power tools. Think chain saws, blowers, miter saws, etc....

A lot of people I know use their old car oil.

Yes, this is the Quik-Lok system. It's very easy to swap attachments. I use a bike rack on the back of my Deere to hold everything - the "base", string trimmer, hedge trimmer, and pole saw - and I...

Thanks for the tip. I have the trimmer, the edger, the weed eater, the 1/4 impact, the drywall screw drill, the harness strap, and the hammer drill already. I loathe buying the extension on it's own.

I went ahead and ordered one of these, plus one extension from home depot. I'll see how 10' reach feels and then maybe order another extension of it seems like that might fly, cuz 10' isn't going to...

Is this the quick attach system, meaning of I purchase this set up I can take off the pole saw end and replace it with the weed eater attachment?

Been waiting on one of these deals since my craftsman 4 cycle died, really just need a different attachment with this. Anyone looked at the dewalt 60v string trimmers to compare as well? Best...

I am assuming the 8 Ah battery is a lot heavier than the 5 Ah battery and hence, heavier. Is that an issue when using it various tools?

Yes! Use it in my M12 shortie chain saw and it works like a charm. Try it and I bet you'll never buy bar and chain oil again.

Can you connect 2 extensions together to get a 13' reach?
Post #156026755 added 07-03-2022 8:52 PM by trkndude299 in Deal Talk
This is a fair deal, but this pruner/chain saw is heavy. It really needs a harness strap and the extension being included would have made this a good deal. And oddly, when I checked out the...

I would think it's too much weight for the first extension (connected to the base) unless you're only going straight up
