Good point, and I can see how 32" 4K unscaled works for a lot of people. Though, when undocked, I use my laptop screen at a closer viewing distance than my desktop monitor, and when I have it...

Right, it's VA. Why is it not good for productivity? I started googling it and besides maybe a bit worse viewing angle on VA did not find any reasonable explanation.

I think 32" LG from Costco is way better deal. https://slickdeals.net/f/15974566-lg-32-32uk50t-w-4k-uhd-freesync-monitor-269-99?p=156944500#post156944500

If you're ok with 15" FHD unscaled, you should be ok with 32" 4K unscaled. It's the same pixel density.

Do you mean the would 2k would look better than the 4k? I'm hoping to move to dual 4k with some scaling for my old eyes. I see recommendations for this configuration by other devs.

I use a 5k iMac right next to a 27" 1440p monitor that I connect to my PC and work laptop, and my work laptops have had Apple "Retina" displays for the last decade. I also briefly used a few 4k...

I think it would depend on how neurotic you are. They will probably both look pretty good. I have this monitor and love it.

Exactly. Much more brighter and it’s very important for IPS monitor, for daily coding and editing work.

Best Buy model for $299 is better USB-C Power 96 watts USB Hub 400 nits vs 300 1000 contrast ratio vs 700 HDR400 vs HDR10. I think it is worth the $50 updgrade.

Literally daily drive LG 27” 4K displays at native, no scaling. I sit back far enough where I can’t reach out and touch the screens. This puts them about 30” away from my eyes. Every work day for...

Only issue is the stand. SO be careful if you don't plan to use the vesa mount.

I understand. Also sitting distance is a major factor. Phones pop out due to the close distance we hold them. (Why they need to be 4x/5x higher in dpi)

I understand pixel density. It makes a big difference on phones, Iove high resolution phones. But on a 27 inch monitor the 4k just doesn't do much imo. I only share my opinion because someone said...

The purpose of going 4k isn't really to gain more screen real estate. Rather, the increased pixel density improves the quality of what you're looking at. Scaled 150-200% (1440p -1080p) text is much...

You should look into pixel density. When you scale a 4K to 150% you’re now going to get a major jump in how text and images display in sharp details. The sharpness is based on using much higher dpi...
