That is a good price. I have had good luck with used lenses off CL locally, where I can try it, and mpb or keh online with warranty or return options.

No you are correct, hardly any z mount crop sensor lenses, you can always use the ftz adapter and f mount lenses though

Totally yes, I wouldn’t trust Nikon to fully support crop mirrorless with a good lens selection, plus you get in body stabilization and of course full frame.
