yea. basically usb c doesn't have the bandwidth to support both 4k 60hz 10bit and usb 3 speeds. hunderbolt can. and displayport 1.4 supports compression so that can support 4k60hz and usb 3.

if you use usb c for video then don't enable the usb 3 speeds. otherwise use usb c for data and use displayport for video.

I haven't used the KVM feature, but I did daisy chain 2 of them for a while. If I recall correctly, I had no issues with MacOS but it never worked correctly on Ubuntu. I didn't bother troubleshooting...
