Just to throw more anecdotal evidence out there -- I've got a handful of GE Z-Wave dimmer switches that have been in service for me for nearly a decade and are still going strong. In fact, part of...

The biggest issue with wifi is no good low power support as of now. You still need zwave or ZigBee for battery operated door/window sensors, motion sensors, leak sensors. My ZigBee devices go for...

Another vouch for Zooz - I have ~30 in my house, only switches I've had trouble with are a couple of z-wave fan controllers I picked up at lowes.

My experience is a mix of those posted here. I have about 40 of them operating across multiple properties over the past 3-5 years. I would say I have experienced about a 20-30% failure rate on...

Do not buy any of the used GE/Jasco switches that are being sold from Amazon Warehouse Deals. I bought a bunch thinking I was getting a good deal and 3/4 of them were returns that were the first...

Zooz switches feel so cheap to click. I’ve had ge Jasco switches in two of my houses, 15 in one house for last 11 years no issues and 20 in my current house for 5 years no issues.

Check, I had one die on me last year, and I found out that GE had extended the warranty period. I called them and they sent me a replacement.

But realistically, it’s good enough for 98% of people. (Made up number, but really the extreme automation stuff is still very niche) Alexa and run automations that the majority would be more than...
