They claim the duty cycle is 60% and it can run 6010. Cheap welders usually have a duty cycle of around 20% and cannot run 6010 rods.

Turn the amp down and run a skinny 6013 and you'll be fine on sheet metal bigger than 18ga or so? I have a ebay special like this and it works surprisingly well and it very versatile on 110v

This comment is nuts. 80 - 100 amps is sufficient for 3/32" diameter 7018 rod. Do yourself a favor and get 7018. It welds so smoothly. 3/32" rod will be fine for hobby use. You're not building...

That would be IGBT inverter, as in Insulated Gate Bipolar Inverter. Not quite the 69 volt Lgbt inverter that your thinking of. Although bipolar so I guess you could say it is bi.
