Have had 2 of these installed for over 3 years ... The nozzles have held up well ... I had to replace one unit because the cover developed a crack in it but Costco easily replaced it

I also had the same problem but was able to jankily plastic weld it back together using a soldering iron. That faulty soft-close mechanism seems like it for planned obsolescence.
