You could use PayPal for some online purchases. PayPal isn't immune to fraud either though.

If it's just for online purchases and you want security then try Discover. They have Discover Secure Online Account Numbers which is like what PayPal used to have. See more here....

Zodiac is correct about BofA. Personally I would find a card that doesn't charge you a fee and offers decent rewards or signup bonus.

I know Bank of America has Shopsafe that generates numbers and you can set spending limits and expiration dates for them. I don't think Chase does because I never found a option on their site.
