I disagree. I have several Logitech mice, and M705 at normal scroll mode is as tight as M510 and other ones. When it is in hyper mode, you wouldn't expect stable tiny movement, of course. Your M705...

you can change that in the setpoint settings--- Pointer Settings / Scrolling Size and Enable Smooth Scrolling.Should help!
