I think it depends on the Starbucks. I been at Starbucks in Safeway and they didn't cutoff. I been at Starbucks standalone and in B&N and they both have cutoff.

I don't think it's starbucks's problem. There were times I have been in Starbucks for 8 hours straight, and my wifi works fine the whole time without reboot.

Believe me, if I figured flushing the local DNS cache would effect the wireless connection as described by the OP, I would have mentioned it. Probably couldn't hurt to see what an ipconfig is...
