I'm pretty sure you can put win 7.8 on it if you want to, just no official version. I'm running 7.8 on my trophy, but didn't really notice a difference from 7.5 $28 tax to California kills it....

7.8 hasn't been officially released yet so I don't think anyone would be able to give you much info. WP7.5 tab based browsing works fine for me, just hard to navigate at times. :P

Just FYI, rule of thumb for all...if it is single core, it is Windows Phone 7, if it is dual or higher core, it will be Windows Phone 8.
