I have a freenas server running out of this right now. It's really well built and sturdy (really heavy actually), and it comes with all the fans you'll need. Just wish I had waited for this deal

I have this model and it's rock solid! Have my media server mounted in my rack at home. Great quality with no sharp edges. Lots of fans with filtering front panel.

unraid seems like a good compromise with maximizing the storage while having a parity. In the unlikely event of two drives failing, the data in the other drives can be recovered since they erside in...

Not if you want to restore that data, should one of the drives in the stripe fail. Been there, done that. Will never do a stripe again. I would go with RAID 5 to maximize the storage while having...

AFAIK, this is a server form factor case and can be used instead of a regular case. Has room for more HDD's with more airflow. Anyone else have experience using this case? I am building an unraid...

Excuse my ignorance, but can this case be used as a stand-alone server casing? Beyond needing a PSU, motherboard, hard drives, and a server OS, is anything else necessary?
