Yesterday I used my gift card to purchase gas. I was given the cash price for gas which is cheaper. Wouldn't it be smart to always buy the gas cards with your credit card since you get the cash...

I was charged CC price at a Valero for GC. Shell gas stations in my area offer 5 cent discount/gallon for using a Shell GC.

I go to Spinx and get charged the cash price. Weird about that station. A gift card is not a credit card so that doesn't make sense. If you call up Chase and talk to a rep, they should confirm...

My local Shell gas stations have one price for buying gas with a credit card and a lower price for using cash. I tried using my Shell gift card at the pump and it applied the higher credit card...

all you have to do is join a group on the website and deposit $5 into a bank account with them. it's easy and is all done through the penfed website

I was trying to reach the $1500 limit and Rite aid only carries department store cards. No gas or grocery cards. Does anyone know if walgreens has these ? No CVS here.

WRONG! Yes you are saving because you aren't locking in a price for gas when you buy a giftcard. You buy a $100 GC and get 5% off (so effectively costing you $95). That $100 GC is still worth $100...

Go check again on the categories. Last time I checked they added Lowes to next quarter's list too and my lowes has a very large assortment of GC for sale including gas
