Anecdotal tests are not the same as battery tests by reviewers. Also, an i3 is different than an i5. And, this most likely has a better screen than your old laptop, and is smaller and lighter....

I guess I am spoiled too. My last Core i3 laptop, HP TMt2, 3 years ago got 6 hours configured correctly. I thought a newer "Ultrabook" would get better. My Bad.
Was just looking into this laptop yesterday (on Newegg? for $600). Reviewers all said it was "interesting" but that the additional screen real estate on the side was pretty much useless. Not worth it...

WiDi is useless for anything other than watching movies. Hell, even when doing that it's so laggy. For general Windows use, WiDi is too laggy. Will make you crazy.

54Wh is not that bad. In fact it's pretty high for a cheap sub $600 laptop that happens to be in Ultrabook form factor.

It is called 21x9 cinema wide. You will see more tv's in it than monitors but there are currently two 29" monitors in this ratio. It is great for an office environment because you can see full size...
