FF also really shines in low light. I thought the T4i did well until I got a 6D. ISO 3200 is not a problem. Even ISO 6400 doesn't look bad.

the easiest way to remember FF vs Crop is that you need to shoot with a higher focal length to achieve the same framing as a crop. You get MORE than a stop DOF control. Background blur (due to...

Honestly, in this regard I'm lost. I suppose if you frame the shot the same way, then you would be further from your subject, affecting the depth of field. Maybe that is what "they" are talking...

As I understand it, the full frame will give more DOF at the same distance. However, the inverse is true if you're framing your subject the same way as the crop would require more distance.

You have a full frame camera. Would you agree with my previous assertion that a 100mm on a crop sensor (effective focal length 160mm) at f/2.8 has a very thin depth of field, but the same lens at...

http://www.lensrentals.com/blog/2012/01/the-great-50mm-shootout Go about a 1/4 down and you'll see the Canon comparisons. At f/2.8 it is 920, at f/4 it is 960... so in this test... f/4 is...

The 85mm f/1.8 is 15 ounces... the 85mm f/1.2L is 24 ounces... I know what you are saying... I have my backpack that has a body and four lenses, and a 430ex. But 9 ounces isn't worth complaining...

those are long, but good if you have good working distance. They create a lot of compression in the photo, which gives a good look for models. They're also really good at destroying backgrounds and...

I'm in fairly good physical shape, and weight is a pretty big deal. Try carrying a 50L, 85L, 24-70L, 580ex, 5D, and tripod for a day trip that requires a lot of walking..... of course weight...

1.2L focuses too slow. 1.8 is my preferred. To each is own. But nothing to do with professionalism.

Used this lens on my 6D tonight for a school program. It would have been nice to have been longer but we had good seats. Results were great. It's probably the sharpest lens I own. A little long...

I have yet to see my 70-200 2.8 mark 2 next to the 100mm IS and 135L. As far as I know, I love mine paired with 85 1.2. and no its not as fast as the 70-200 Do I really need the 135 or 100 IS? not...

It usually is but the 70-200 2.8 IS II and the 24-70 2.8 II are the only zooms in that range that are as sharp as their prime equivalents. I have always shot fixed lenses and love them because they...
