First of all, this is a great drive. I'm very pleased so far as it's big, fast, and quiet. Even better, I received the rebate from TD in the mail already!!! I mailed mine in on 5/6, so just a...

Bad language. No solid fact. Wishful thinking. That's what you showed us. I am not a TD shill. What I did is just sharing experience. Don't want to mislead people.

I'm really tempted to bite on this deal but I do have a question. What are the downsides of a 7200 RPM drive vs a 5400 rpm drive? I am assuming the 7200 would die at a quicker rate then the 5400 rpm...

Maybe these dinosaurs still believe NE rebates are reliable. So you know, TD's rebate is even better than NE rebate :lmao: I had experienced that NE rebates now takes whole 2 months or more, and...

These guys are true dinosaurs living under a rock. TD rebate nightmares are of yester-years. I guess old dogs never learn new tricks. TD rebates are probably almost the best and fastest, I only...

Good Point. This seems to be a Good Drive - the 2TB that is. Scored 1145 on the Hard Drive Benchmarking. Pretty Damn Good Score for a 2TB. I wonder if this 2TB is the same as the Enterprise 7200RPM...

It depends. Much like with physical spindles - it depends. Your hope is that the SMART diagnostics will pick up an impending problem, but it's not always the case. See this article:...

Almost right! WD bought Hitachi's computer hard drives (HGST) business primarily for the enterprise business unit. Its the one that brings home the biggest chunks of profit. Before WD's aquisition...
