most ATL stores showing $2 or more and the ones under $1 just show 1 or 2 in stock which usually means cancellation

They do indeed. I wouldn't try framing with brad nails though, regardless of what Lowe's tells me they are. :D

Two out of three links are broken, the 1st and the 3rd. My zip, 44107, shows $0.33 for the Arrow 5/8" 18 gauge (Qty. 500) though!

I found a few different packages of brad nails on clearance at my local Lowe's. Prices shown are for my local store, but Lowe's clearance items are typically very YMMV.
