Differing read/write speeds for the different size drives is the norm, typically the larger drives have better memory controllers and faster read/writes. It's confusing when stores lump together...

another gotcha is that different capacity has different maximum speed. I got 32GB because Amazon says max of 190MB/s in the technical detail, but it turns out to be 110MB/S and I felt being cheated...

I have 2 of the ADATA S102 16GB. One gets just under 50MB/s and the other can manage 65MB/s. Not necessarily speeds to sneeze at for USB, but certainly not the little sticks of wonder that they...

They have a different rebate processor now, tigerdirect rebates are currently the fastest and most reliable rebates around.

I know it's not an ADATA drive, but I figured I'd add this since it's a flash drive. Patriot PSF32GFXUSB Xporter Flex Flash Drive - 32GB, USB 2.0 $19.99 - $10 rebate = $9.99 *NOTE - USB 2.0 ...

USB 3.0 is the transfer technology. That has nothing to do with read and write speeds. It's not gonna make a drive magically read and write faster just because it's USB 3.0. I don't know how much...

Are there any sizes smaller / cheaper?

Not in my experience. Always get paid.

So what's the point buying this? Obviously the manufacturer won't underestimate their product. It can only be exaggerated. When they say 25mb/s, it is 25mb/s. My USB 2.0 is also writing between...

They are extremely bad for these ADATA drives. Not in terms of the service, but in terms of their speed. I bought one in May and the rebate was supposed to arrive by August 31st! It took so long and...

Aren't TD rebates really bad?

Now that is the adata drive worth getting, though I will probably wait for the price to drop more. I saw a review and it actually achieved the speeds it claimed (off by less than 3%), 180 mb read/90...

USB 3.0 isn't a "standard" in the sense you think it is. This isn't like an SD Card being Class 10. USB 3.0 is the transfer capability. The stated speeds are the read and write speeds of the drive...

How can these 15mb/s, 20mb/s, 25mb/s writing speed qualified USB 3.0 standard? It is slower than USB 2.0. The s107 model seems okay for 50mb/s but it looks so ugly IMO
