Better than I thought it would be but, would not produce left speaker sound on optical or RCA from TV and optical from TIVO was also a no go.

To all people who have problem with Optical input not working.
Go to your TV and set the output to be External Speaker, PCM or something. Don't put on Auto or otherwise.
