Did you experience sms problems? I also did the same thing and used it with Ultra.me. Everything is fine expcept cannot send test message. Calling and Receiving sms is good. Data is OK.

I got the Verizon G2 and currently use it with Ultra-Mobile sim too. Upgraded to official VZW Lollipop then switched Network Mode from "Global" to "LTE/GSM/UMTS" and everything works fine.
