I've been listening to my 598's for awhile and I personally think the M50X technicas are an overall better headphone. I swapped out the earpads to the soft fabric ones and they're really comfortable....

Well just checked my 598's and they did not pass authentication . I did a phone scan and online , both with the same result . i also filled out the form at Senn's page for further info , etc to see...

Couple people on Amazon reported them getting fakes from the BF deal (wont authenticate on Sennheiser.com) Highly doubtful since it's shipped and sold by Amazon LLC.
