i had same thing happen, $4K in gold coins, 2K in eBay gift cards.
The GC never pushed through their system. They tell me it was only suppose to be per item.

Were you able to enter coupon code after selecting commit to buy?
If for whatever reason the coupon does not apply or have problems with PayPal approval I don't want to be stuck with a large gold...
