I would say if you are patient then yes. This camera is outdated compared to its peers. The AF is pretty appalling by today's standards, even when it was released it was kind of a head scratcher...

Depends on what you're taking a picture of. A camera like this, you're probably shooting pics of wildlife, or far away objects, so the best lens would be the Canon 400mm f/2.8 IS USM II telephoto....

Maybe not this year but likely by early next year. It's approaching 4 years old and is due for an update. The 5D Mark III is 4 years old and is getting replaced this summer.
