The Weber Summit series NG grills have regulators.The regulator is mounted in the base cabinet. The regulator for a propane grill is on the tank fitting.

It's convenience. And man, is it ever convenient. I have this grill and it's fantastic. I would NEVER go back to propane after having a plumbed in grill. Significantly cheaper to run too.
