For music I'd say skip this series. Even rti/RtiA series. Lsi/lsiM is where you want to be for music. But they are 5 times more expensive. Speakers are very personal choice. But these cheaper...

What an arrogant answer to a legitimate question. Most modern day towers are designed for home theater so asking how they sound for music is a common question.

I actually returned the B6's for a pair of Polk Tsx 220B's. The B6's vocals sounded very boxy and the bass was overly boomy. Not everyone has the same ears and the Polks sound way more balanced than...

I purchased the Polk LSiM 705's from Adorama during their half price sale that was listed on this site. Fast delivery...no damage... Sometimes stuff happens and you have to deal with it but the...

Why would anyone buy anything from Polk when speaker makers like ELAC exist? Boggles the mind

I was mainly responding to those above mentioning that they are on their 2nd and 3rd pairs of RTis, or are considering LSi towers. There are many speaker makers that absolutely demolish everything...

PSB's seem a lot more expensive than Polk.

If you have to ask that question then you wont be able to tell the difference from one speaker to the next.

Both 8 inch woofers are passive? Wtf. So it actually runs on 2 5.25" woofers. And on top of that its ported. I can't imagine the low end on this is anywhere near flat.

Why would anyone buy these when Fluance exists?

RTI has always been their near-high end. Those were old stock of a previous generation that Fry's had. Still a great buy, though. Judging by price on SD.com is risky, there are some incredible...

yep same here. I have rti-A1s and a7s. Tonally, they are very musical. Not so much for home theater use though where relatively brighter speakers (horn loaded or titanium tweeters) excel.

from experience having owned various polk speakers, their txx/r/monitor is entry level, while rti/rti-a being the reference series comparable in price to other reference speakers of their competitors...

You have this backwards. RTi is second from top tier. A pair of comparable RTis would be about $1-1.5k

rti is one step above entry in polk. these use better cabinets and better drivers. the tsi these are replacing sourced tiffany spec drivers. older ones actually used vifa components completely...

It is. LSi is multiples more expensive. I have owned 2 sets of RTi speakers, and can't justify the LSi. God help me if I hear a set.
