I just cancelled my service with textnow, tried it for 2 months, terrible.
How do I go about registering this with ringplus?

I actually did not try very hard.
I simply returned for a full refund.
One experienced member on the RP forum advised not to deal with this phone .
If TN had cancelled the plan and let me kneep...

Did you activate with TN then cancel before the month then got a new dialer, sms...

So TextNow support had no issues releasing the phone upon request and it now has full voice and data service on Ring+ after a standard Ring+ activation?

This is why I said "like TextNow". MVNOs like RP, TextNow, et cetera are of a different type and play by different rules. The point is, a phone has to pass FED to be used on those services, so...

I called to cancel and asked for the ESN to be released. They will probe for information and try to keep you, but we're all immune to that.

looks like it will pass the FED
checked on R+, ting, and esn swappa
boost and virgin are sprint mvno and their phones can be activated ,
yet do not pass the FED

i will try to run the dec on both R+ and ting checkers.

The checker will give a message congratulating you and saying that it is currently in service but able to register on ring plus. this means it passes the FED check but the ESN is currently on another...
