Costco was dumping the same system minus the 745 for $599, and there have been similar Acer systems selling as refurbs (customer returns with no problems) on Newegg for $429.
I bought one of each....

Jet.com, and Fry's regularly has it on sale for $198 for daily deals.
The memory is around $80, basic no heatsink DDR4 is often less than $40 for 16GB.
You really don't need 32GB ram on a system...

It's not a very good system. You can't build it though for 500. The poster forgot to add in the value of 32gb of ddr4.
Problem areas. Terrible power supply. Woefully underpowered graphics card....

While you probably can't build an identical system for $500, I think you could build better overall performance for cheaper or same.
1. Get an i5, not i7.
2. Go for 16GB, most users don't need...
