Note the monitor part. Also I did not mention but the dock powers the laptop and the connections for the monitors go through the dock. The battery inside the laptop is a last resort when working on...

Agree 100% -- as in a "pure sinewave" is 100% (or very close to it) the same as the power normally coming from your wall outlet, whereas a "simulated sine wave" is a completely different "waveform"...
