Looks like the model I got on Black Friday that came with a Tenba messenger bag for the same price. Oh never mind. My tripod has twist lock legs and can't turn into a monopod.

Only thing I don't like is the locking clips. They are plastic and break after awhile. Plastic fatigue? I think the twist type screw is a better design.

Benro has solid tripods and monopods, very comparable to manfrotto. I recently bought their monopod with video head and was very very impressed with build quality, price and packaging. I would say...

It would technically hold the weight of your combination, but not well enough to be stable for sharp images, especially near the 200mm end. This class of tripod has too much flex in the legs to be...

I have a benro tripod myself, it is a solid tripod for a 'pro'sumer, it is well stable unless you go extreme spread of the legs. The benro I have has a ball head and the locking method of the ball...

So looking at the specs, 8~lb load. Called a 'studio'. Weighs in at about 3lb. Four sections. Doesn't look to be a work horse type of tripod. Good for light and casual usage. You could do...

As far as weight goes, the rule I've always heard it that you should take the maximum weight you plan to put on it, and multiply it by 1.5. Even though it says 8.8 pounds, you don't want to actually...

No, it will not help you pan- you would be better off with a fluid head for smooth pans. Ball heads are not designed for that type of work.

Ball head won't really give you good pan/tilt for video. It's much better suited for photography. Wait... just noticed there are other options on the page that are slightly more expensive that...
