the SE isn't a DAC though, it's merely a headphone amp which sucks. Because portable devices tend to have crappy ass DACs and amps, it's not worth blowing $250 when it's only amping a crappy signal....

I don't use E5 and naon iDSD after owning Roland mobile UA. All three are in same price range.
E5 has many DSP mode which is good for game.
Nano iDSD sound lean but more clean and neutral than E5....

Flick the switch on the back of the amp up to high gain. I have the same amp and with hd650 or hd580 I start to hit the max on low gain, but on high gain there is a lot more room
