Gaming performance is very dependent on screen resolution. Fallout 4 says it needs 8GB of RAM, but it can still run below that. If the game 'needs' 2GB of RAM then it likely also needs a better CPU...

It has to do with how Android devices handle RAM. Basically a tablet with 3GB of RAM generally means 1080p or higher. A large portion of that RAM is used by the GPU and not available for programs....

This one uses the MediaTek MT8163, the standard Fire tablet uses the MT8127.

This isn't true because it only is a little better than 720p resolution. These mobile devices share RAM with the GPU. Now if it was a 1080p screen I would agree it needs 2+, but only because 512mb...

Is this the same cpu/gpu as the $50 Fire tablet? Everyone says that one is slow. Still tempting for a cheap tablet to watch 720p streaming content in bed. Nice long battery really makes it a good...
