For that, you can use an old smartphone with the Manything app. Works pretty well, you can get notified on your current smartphone when motion is detected, and can view the video remotely.

I ordered it as $60 for *two* PTZ wifi cam seems to be a good deal. Uniden is a good company too. My expectations are not lofty high for a $30 cam.

IZON View cameras would be good for that. They can be set to record when they detect sound and/or motion. You can control the sensitivity too. I own 2 of the regular version and 6 of the night vision...

No mention of PoE support. Can get a PoE splitter to 5VDC though. If you're using wireless then PoE is kind of pointless anyway.
