I owned one for 5 years, very reliable, solid gun and this is the opinion of most Hi-Point owners.

it's not attached. it's a trigger lock that is placed over the trigger guard. otherwise looks like a standard heavy thick blowback gun

What to use it for? Easy. Truck, car, boat gun. Cheap enough so you won't cry if you lose it and reliable enough to go bang when you need it. So it is ugly, but better an ugly reliable one than no...

It's heavy but reliable and that added weight means it functions as an effective club when you run out of ammo. lol

I have this one, and it is ugly as hell. But it fires reliably. I've never had this gun suffer a malfunction at the range. It does suffer from stares of disappointment from other snoody gun owners.

So in order to be cheap, they have to make it ugly? Would not trust this as a carry gun or first go to gun. Maybe a cheap range gun. You get what you pay for and something that could cost your life...

It's affordable for everyone bc it's better to have one and not need it than to need one but need it when the time comes. I'll buy it just for fun but my wife doesn't let me buy anymore guns. :(
