It seemed more like an inventory issue. Too few when 1.0 came out. Too many for 2.0. I don't think overall they saw it not so much as losing money, it was a matter of not being profitable enough...

They are probably not making it unplayable, just shutting down some servers which has the effect of making it unplayable. Probably DRM related, which is why the Steam versions will still work.

Damn, they're being harsh to PC and mobile. The game isn't even a year old and they're making it unplayable? Doesn't even really make sense.

Yeah. 1.0 and 3.0 were excellent games, 2.0 was disappointing. Unfortunately poor business decisions led to its shut down.

Nm, I read the FAQ, all console games will function normally but there won't be any more updates after the end date obviously. All content is saved on the consoles.

Disney was losing money over Infinity, hence the shut down. You can't expect any business venture to keep going when it's losing money.
