I don't recognize the PU and BX abbreviations. You aren't familiar with Steam? I guess you must be a console only person. I used to be that way. Steam is the most popular and well known PC game...

PU toy box 2.0 Starter sets for $2.97 at the BX. Was not familiar with steam and what it is all about. Some sort of online stuff? Characters for all systems are overpriced. Bought too many of...

I have not seen any Infinity starter sets for $8 or less, but I have seen many of 2.0 and 3.0s for $10 at Target or Walmart. The figures are in the $4-$5 range at both stores. At this point I think...

I've bought a ton of these over the last couple of weeks for me and my friend's kids whom I party with occasionally. I'm a 35 year old grown man and love playing the Star Wars sets (by mysel!) and I...

Skylanders is and was cleaning house in the market place. Infinity is good but kids like the action and play of Skylanders. Infinity is more of a thinking/ learning game like Lego. Also Skylanders...

It seemed more like an inventory issue. Too few when 1.0 came out. Too many for 2.0. I don't think overall they saw it not so much as losing money, it was a matter of not being profitable enough...

They are probably not making it unplayable, just shutting down some servers which has the effect of making it unplayable. Probably DRM related, which is why the Steam versions will still work.

In what way were they losing money? Not enough game or figure sales or cost for servers or what?

Damn, they're being harsh to PC and mobile. The game isn't even a year old and they're making it unplayable? Doesn't even really make sense. Even just shutting down the servers for multiplayer...

Yeah. 1.0 and 3.0 were excellent games, 2.0 was disappointing. Unfortunately poor business decisions led to its shut down.

Nm, I read the FAQ, all console games will function normally but there won't be any more updates after the end date obviously. All content is saved on the consoles.

Disney was losing money over Infinity, hence the shut down. You can't expect any business venture to keep going when it's losing money.
