most reviews I've read said it works just doesn't react very fast, it's no big deal to me as long as it functions, my $900+ iPhone 6 Plus Touch ID only works 70% of the time now.

Yes, Le Max2 is now $221.99, it's definitely a better buy than the Le Pro 3 which is about $100 more with a smaller and lower resolution screen.

Not too sure. The max is cheaper and has a bigger screen and 2k, while the pro 3 only has 1080p. All the bands on both. I have the max and have been loving it till now.

I still ordered the Le Max 2 even after Le Pro 3, $100, or a 33% cost increase (/w tax in cali) makes the deal less sweet. SD821 is cool but i'd rather pocket the extra hundo to put toward SD830...
