I don't know why some stores aren't shown in brickseek sometimes. Not long ago, I got in on a grill deal posted here from a store that didn't show up in brickseek but had a number of them in stock.

Thanks OP. I was able to grab two of these. Price was marked correctly on shelf. I was surprised they actually had them. Another store I went to had 3 of them but the price was still 179.99. Weird...

ubiquiti also does mesh networking so yes, onhub (with wifi update) will do same. Haven't set it up yet so don't know. I have 2 of them and a ubuntu VM to install the control center on.

all the mesh does is what the ubiquiti can do. kick a weak device off that AP. also the ubiquiti has great signal. but it is a pain to setup.

I've had mixed results with APs having same SSID. My devices weren't smart enough to switch to strongest signal as long as it had some connectivity to the lesser one but I haven't tried doing that...

then set all the APs to use a single SSID. the ubiquiti will allow you to set a minimum signal quality. then it'll kick off weak devices so they can find a stronger signal.

I did confirm that with onhub support. My only current gripe is that onhub also needs to be the dhcp server and router. I was hoping to you my own secure gateway.

Yes, it looks like onhub will allow reconfig as a mesh with hardware Ethernet. At $45 a pop, it will be far cheaper than Google Wi-Fi, EERO or Ubiquiti with "hopefully" comparable or better...

Single SSID. Optimal wifi connectivity regardless of where I'm at. Onhub isn't my only choice for mesh. I have Ubuquiti Pro that I'm going to test out as well.
