Just got rid of my Onkyo 525 and bought this one. My Onkyo had a lot of problem and would never touch that brand again.

I just ordered this but I think I will return. It looks like the Onkyo TX-NR646 has more inputs/outputs at the same price.

Well shoot. Now I'm wondering whether I should look at something other than Yamaha. The reports of them being stable/dependable appealed to me. Sounds like Onkyo, Denon, Sony etc have quality control...

Hmm was thinking about waiting for this to get back in stock online or picking it up in store but guess there is a future proofing consideration. Is the 7810 really worth the extra cash if I'm just...

Yeah, I just realized the 5810 only has speaker terminals for Surround Back OR Front height, but not both, unlike the 7810. I went for the 7810 deal for that, plus the 2nd HDMI out.

The Denon is $999 everywhere. Frys discounts it every couple of weeks to between $480 - $580. Generally there is no shipping available though.

Going off the ledge here with this question. Any advice between the Pioneer VSXLX301 & Yamaha RX-V679BL?
Pairing it with Definitive ProCinema 600 speakers
Thanks
