it honestly doesn't matter to me how it connects. My PC has both options. And I don't care how its powered lol. I don't need surround sound because I don't want more wires behind my desktop as it is.

Thanks for the suggestion. But she hates headphones of any kind. If she would just wear her hearing aid for example, she'd be able to hear the TV.

How will your new speakers connect to your computer? 3.5mm Aux cable, optical, etc.? You will need either powered speakers (like most computer speakers, and need to be plugged into an electrical...

Yes, but that would be likely much further down the road. Probably a few years out or so when I'd be living in a bigger space. For now I'd like a nice 2.1 set up that I could pack up and move around...

Don't know if anyone answered you, but they do not have posts. These are powered studio monitors, so they have a built in amp, and need a XLR or 1/4 connection. They are great sounding speakers, but...

You could go with those. They are self-powered, support Bluetooth, and Edifier has a good reputation for speakers (they now own Stax). Based on what you said, the biggest downside for an...

If you love clear, crisp, sparkly treble, you really can't beat Klipsch. Purists looking for dead accurate monitors will hate the horn-loaded tweeters, and that's fine. But personally, I enjoy...

These are passive speakers so you'd need an amp. Since you'd need an amp you could get an amp with Bluetooth capability. If you want good bass, you'd need to pair these with a subwoofer. The bass...

Need some advice here. I currently have promedia 2.1s hooked up to my TV. They've been great for films and gaming, but just decent for music. The reason I say this is because I think that they're...
