I used the same Amex card and same phone but with a different walmart account. So no double dipping. From my experience you can take advantage once with the Amex card and second time it wouldn't work.

Still working. First scanned qr code with phone, next filler item, then $100 gift card. Got the $20 GC few minutes later. This was at the San Leandro, CA Walmart.
