The astrolux s1 has a double spring mechanism. It looks as if it would be similar to spring bypass. Is spring bypass even necessary when there is a double spring?

Got my 3D today, was holding it to my hand when I first got it on high, was very very bright. Tested the modes, works awesome. Complicated but very bright, will get another if they go on sale again.

It has a quite complicated firmware. Read the Community Wiki, You have to turn on save mode if you can figure it out. Light is fine but don't see it as any better then the rest.

Might as well go with a cheaper single cell charger for this light imo. The Xtar MC1 Plus or the Liitokala Lii-100 are good options
