I just picked up an HRX217HYA at Home Depot and used a 15% off coupon from Ebay. Made it cheaper total with tax than ordering it online. My back yard is already starting to grow, so it won't be...

The blade stop was the main reason I returned the Toro. It's coupled with the drive so every time you let off the drive to turn or turn around the blade stops and has to restart when engaging the...

I'm leaning towards splurging on this one to get the hydrostatic drive and blade stop. I was thinking about getting electric start also, but it looks like Hondas are ridiculously easy to start. ...

I tried a Toro first, didn't like it. Returned Toro and bought a Honda. That was 20 years ago though, don't know about current models.

I've had my Honda Harmony mower for about 20 years, still starts first pull. It's always blown oil clouds every once in a while when first started, from when it was new. Other than that, never had...

Does anyone know how this Toro Super Recycler compares to the Hondas? Looks like a good price at a local dealer. It's $499 most places online.

I bought a troybilt 10 years ago with a Honda engine from Lowe's. No issues at all. Did u try mixing the gas with Seafoam or marvel mystery oil? I use both for my cars and riding and push...

Have a push (not self-propelled) Honda and its nice, however the parts are expensive and working on them is little to no fun. If you have a self-propelled that is giving you issues, you can remove...

I usually store it at most for two months straight (Jan & Feb) out of the year since I live in Texas and it gets used maybe once per month in Nov and Dec and every two weeks or so for the rest of...

Ideally when you store it, just drain the tank and carb completely. Stabilizer is nice for shorter periods of non-use, but if it's going to be months it's best to drain.

My $300 troybilt with a b&s engine has been a nightmare. It didn't want to crank exactly one year after purchase and had been stored in the garage during the winter with fuel stabilizer. I replaced...

I never have too many probs w/engines if they arrive OK, unless the carb is messed up. If U have immediate probs w/ a B&S engine it should be returned right away 'cuz it is usually defective from...

Care to elaborate on which specific model it was and what went wrong? Been doing a lot of research on these Honda mowers and overall they seem to get really good reviews.

Exactly. I find the engines are rarely the weakest link in these things (unless you let the carb get dirty of course). These are high quality machines not because they have honda motors, but because...
