at $40 for the 5700x ryzen CPU processor based on a thread on tom's hardware where someone with a high ranking on that forum suggested it though it's a BIG sized CPU cooler ... for any CPU cooler actually check out the size/dimensions given on amazon, get into your PC case with a ruler (preferably a plastic or wooden one, something that does not conduct electricity) and do some measurements to make sure the cooler will fit.

Also re: the company of heroes game.. apparently while redeeming the code worked for me, they're asking that you register at some website devoted to company of heroes 3 but you can't do that until Feb 23rd when the game is officially released.. I would go ahead and redeem that gift code ASAP when you get it in your email just to be on the safe side but thought I would point that out. I'd also like to point out that sadly you can't just gift this game to someone else even if you're not interested in it, there's some amd rewards program software you have to download that checks your PC to see if you have the appropriate CPU installed on your PC ... of course I imagine a gamer would install their shiny new CPU first anyways
Arctic thermal paste , mx-4 version, 4 gram tube is on sale for about $6 right now and is supposed to be a really good thermal paste (I used it on my son's 5600x desktop PC and my 5700x desktop PC and have been happy with the temps from the CPU ... has a good reputation online, the thermal paste that is).
Also don't be stupid like me, uninstall AMD Overdrive if your PC is still rocking an ancient AMD FX series CPU like me
IF microcenter is not available to you and this is an upgrade for you sure, this is a decent price.
I would wait for the 5800X3D or 5900X to drop lower though, both have the best performance for AM4. Might as well get the best of AM4 since its been discontinued.
