Not quite a thumbs down, just kind of...meh (it has been this price since last November).

A search on SD will show this processor has, several times, been 10% less than this price.

It is not bad if you need one today, but if you're just starting to browse, let's hope more discounts are coming.

FWIW, there DOES seem to be a little "pop" in processor prices currently. I haven't looked into what is causing it, but to see a plateau from November (with a few dips) and then to see pricing INCREASE slightly is unwelcomed news for those of us looking to upgrade.

The 5700x is 18% ($191) cheaper for 7% loss of performance but only uses about 1/2 the power (65w vs 105w).

Really since November? I got it for around 50 bucks less either before or after that time. I believe there was a surplus of some sort, and it let me get a really good deal.
