Here's the thing; a Samsung QD-OLED doesn't necessarily NEED Dolby Vision, but if it had it, it would look even better. Dolby Vision is just superior to HDR10+. It's no contest.
Dolby Vision has better color (It has 68 billion, HDR10/10+ has roughly 1 billion). Even though the panels themselves aren't 12-bit and can't portray all 68 billion colors, you're still getting more colors than with HDR10+. It also has better contrast and brightness.
This is the battle between HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. Dolby Vision is Blu-Ray and will win. On top of that, let's say you have a Samsung QD-OLED and an LG OLED and they're the same price. You're paying the same amount for that Samsung and getting one less feature. To me, that's bs.
I've looked at those Samsungs, and they do have a great picture, but for me, no Dolby Vision is a dealbreaker. Not to mention Samsung TVs always develop so much lag and I've always hated their UI. You also get the magic remote with an LG. You wouldn't think it makes much of a difference, but being able to point your remote around instead of clicking buttons is so much freaking faster. It's super responsive. I could never go back.
Good deal, but might as well wait couple of months to get better deal!!!

Not too bad of a deal when you factor in the gift card and warranty cost, but would rather take those savings upfront. Only very minor reason I'd want this over a C2 is LG finally not being cheap and adding DTS support (which a receiver could take care of easily, but I prefer the simplicity of earc if possible). Hmmm...do we bite or wait, chief?
Trying to decide between this and the Samsung S90. Seems Samsung might be better just not sure if Dolby vision is that important. This is a great price. Anyone have both?

In the past when it said they were giving me a gift card. I got an instant refund on my credit card. Not sure if this is always the case tho.

Really? I wonder, was that exact value or did it include tax? Did it come immediately before or after the TV was delivered? That's an interesting tactic too, but not something I'd gamble on of course.

I have the S90C 77". Got it from Costco with the 5 year warranty n free professional install but it was $3199. This unit at $3000 minus the $300 gift card I'd say makes it a better deal. That being said every review I've read puts the S90C above the C3 so if that's your primary concern I'd point to that.

Depends of the use, for gaming s95 or s90 will be awesome, for movies and series either one, I have 2 kids so most of the times watch movies with low volume so DTS was not a real deal breaker for me. I got the s95 and I'm in love

How much is the s90?

I saw the SD for a Samsung 110" Mini led for 150K boasting 20bit color and "the Best" picture.
ANY Opinions on the OLEDS verse this new version of Mini Leds??
OLED seem to be the clear choice but are they bring forward a better technology? It seemed like an exorbitated amount of money for a 2nd rate panel
