About this Deal:
At the time of this posting, our research indicates that this is $57.45 lower than the next best available comparable prices starting from $1149 before shipping fees. -SaltyOne
For me it's adding shipping (~$230) and tax (~$80) for a total of $1477 for one. But they're doing a free shipping over $2000 promotion, so two batteries comes out to $2459 or $1229/each. Pretty good price for a 5kwh battery from a reputable solar retailer.
Would you be up for posting a link to an example of "5KW of less convenient auto style Lifepo4 at Amazon for about $800 shipped any day"? Curious to see the options you're thinking of.

Rack battery prices are coming down with the rest of Lifepo4 and if you don't need it shipped this is pretty cool. Like other poster said though shipping kills for most when you can get 5KW of less convenient auto style Lifepo4 at Amazon for about $800 shipped any day.
That being said the rack mount seems like an awesome form factor and Signature solar is a great company. I've ordered from them before when they were doing free ship.

If you need 280AH the Eg4 powerpro batteries are ~$3.2-3.4k and have built in heaters and better build / form factor. Many retailers do not charge sales tax (e. G. Solar guys pro) and they all typically ship from the same place.

It's 12v and only 3600wh, but I also only paid $464 all in, that included 6% sales tax. That when they had their last sale, which they do regularly.
So with that last sale, for $860 you could've had 7200wh automotive style LiFePo4. The rack mount format seems to be a much more elegant and cleaner energy storage solution, but you can't beat the raw bang for the buck of these automotive style batteries.

Can't find anything on this specific one but they do list the EG4-LL-S at ~100lbs so I'd assume similar?
