Walmart [walmart.com] has the Ozark Trail 700C G.1 Explorer Gravel Bike for $248.
Started seeing this pop up getting rave reviews from well respected bike influencers on my Youtube feed:
As a road cyclist with a $4k road bike, I figured it was high time to dip my toes into the gravel scene so I picked one up. Given its recent popularity on YouTube and gravel-related Reddit threads, supply might be limited. While some scoff at Walmart bikes as mere "Bike Shaped Objects," I have a feeling this one might just break the mold. Who knows, maybe I'll even rock the kickstand with pride at the next criterium race.

Do you think it will be sold out or they will raise the price?

I would just hop on Craigslist/FB marketplace and spend the money on a quality bike

Considering the price of the bike, that extra $50 would cut into their profit margins, imagine raising the price closer to $400

It is not as simple as buying freehubs. You will need new spokes to match the freehub mounting diameter, those will be different 99.99%. Also different size spokes may be needed for front rear, left-right etc. There are websites that will calculate information for you. It is a tedious process that is not as cheap as it seems. If you have plans to to tubeless setup it is more cost effective to buy a tubeless ready wheel set on Amazon for $125

This bike was tested on YouTube by people who ride $5000+ bikes and they have good opinion about it and keep it as a spare one. The only issue of the bike is the weight (30lbs) which is due to heavy wheels, tires and too many steel components used, but it doesn't make it "bad". Surley gravel bikes weight the same, will cost over $1000, and have similar steel forks - some people prefer steel and use nothing else. Depending on your goals you can easily upgrade it for $200 to be tubeless ready 10 speed with a lightweight crank and lose 3+ lbs just there. Steel fork has a lot of advantages that can actually outweigh CF in many situations. It is 1200 grams vs 500 grams, but also unlimited durability and zero headache. "Go Facebook, go craiglist, buy locally" you can search for months trying to find a deal, my local pages are full of old rim brake super ugly bikes for under $300 that I will never ride. Any decent used drop bar bike with disk brakes starts $500+, if you except to find modern Trek or Canyon gravel bikes for cheap - good luck
