It uses a Peltier thermocouple rather than a compressor. That means lower energy usage, fewer moving parts and quiet operation. And a flip of a switch will turn it into a warmer to keep your food warm.
The bad:
There's no shelf.
Peltier coolers aren't very powerful. This can only cool down 20°F from the ambient temperature. That means that if your room is 78°F, then the cooler cannot get colder then 58°F. And it often cannot even achieve that 20°F differential. That's not cold enough to prevent spoilage

The fan would still kick on but the LEDs wouldn't and the cooling effect just gave up the ghost.
