But its going to be roughly $120 or so for everything you need, so this govee is a good deal if you hate setup.

I think that's right. Just wondering if one of the settings of this is biased lighting? 6500k I think. It seems like a no-brainer to just add it as a preset.
Problem is: the Govee T1 very frequently forgets what Wi-Fi network it is configured for too - which makes it even more frustrating. Govee also only warrantees this for 1 year, then you're on your own. If you get this from Amazon, opt for an extended warranty if it's offered.
In the end, we opted to try out a Govee TV Backlight 3 (more updated version), which has been far more reliable than the T1. For the lighting effect, I would suggest this one over the T1 all day, any day.

Can't speak for other setups, like directly-via-the-cable connected lights, but the delay is barely noticable. If you directly stare at it, try to notice a delay from the screen changing color to the lights, yes you'll see a tiny delay. But while watching TV or a movie you won't notice it.
All that said, I believe the newer versions are better, and not vastly different in price, so do some minor research if it matters a lot, and get any of them. I thought it would be kind of a dumb gimmick, but I absolutely love the lights. Makes the whole TV watching experience much more vibrant and the extra lighting does feel better on the eyes.
