then the link is wrong because it takes me to the regular bundle.

edit: and when I change out the motherboard I get $501.47. Interesting to know their bundles can include different parts (not sure if intended) but the price and the links are still off.

Yup you are right, it even shows the name of the motherboard in his link "X-AX-v2" instead of "Elite-AX-ice" like they mentioned. Looks like maybe the RAM price changed, mine is showing $104 in cart instead of 114.99

Yeah, looks like OP switched out the motherboard for the default bundle.

When you mix and match, you don't get a discount on the part you switch out unless it is stated (Red text: "Save $X bundled with Y). That specific discount still applies if you don't bundle with "Y", so there's some potential savings there if you're looking for specific parts or brands that are no in the default bundle. The biggest discount is with the processor which no one is going to switch out, if you want a specific processor then build from that bundle for that nice discount.

You can make this deal slicker with open boxes, CPUs are usually sturdy, this gen has no pins so open box is much less of a gamble, RAM can be tested, biggest gamble would be motherboard. I personally took the gamble with an open box motherboard and haven't had problems. Anecdotally, with AM5 there just seems to be a lot of complaint/techsupport posts with no mention of BIOS update, end user insisting on using 4 sticks of RAM, and/or trying to EXPO with a wrong RAM kit, so all these user errors seemed like it would favor anyone buying open box motherboards for this generation. YMMV of course.

I swung by the Ohio store and got the $480 bundle tonight, was closer to $430 with a microcenter card (10% off CPU or something). I also had them price match a CPU Cooler off Amazon and picked up a open box case for a decent deal. Pretty happy with the bundle, putting to together later this week using some tech from an existing box. Didnt see this deal till I got back hopefully the other motherboard isnt a deal breaker ha ha.

Many of these boards still don't have USB4 after all this time. I get the whole thunderbolt thing, but AMD needs to get it together.

B650E Riptide is $190 unless want B650 without PCIe 5.0 x12 and Teamgroup 32gb DDR5 RGB 6000 CL30 instead of CL32 $107

add each manually to cart CPU prices changes to $197

https://www.microcenter.com/produ...otherboard

https://www.microcenter.com/produ...HC_-_Black

https://www.microcenter.com/produ...t-included

total $494 you can change to any motherboard (Even Open Box) and RAM and it still gives the discount on the CPU

Any real-world experiences of how the 7950X3D would perform better than the 7800X3D? As in how might one see the difference having a 7800X3D, aside from video rendering / benchmarks?

Still debating which one to get. I would do the 7950X3D for peace of mind, as I dual-wield games/productivity, but I've heard the 7950 may perform beneath the 7800 in gaming due to the CCD juggling.
